"Subject to Interpretations"
My art group is doing a Winter project that is a fun challenge. We receive a photo every two weeks and then make a painting based on that photo. I'm finding it a good way to step up my "game" a little and take some chances. This is my latest painting as part of that project. I used a first wash from another painting that I started a long time ago. I couldn't remember what I had originally planned! I like the way it added texture and unexpected color to this painting. The location is north of Davenport, California. To see the photo that inspired me, and some of the other "interpretations" visit the blog www.subjecttointerpretations.blogspot.com

ReplyDeleteCarolyn - just discovered your blog. I like your painting of the cliffs at Davenport a lot. Reminds of the pieces you did with Salminen. Donna
